Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology - Moscow

Moscow is one of Russia's tourist destinations, which annually receives millions of tourists worldwide. One of the main reasons for this city's popularity among tourists of the tour to Russia is the many tourist attractions. For example, Russia's unofficial symbol, the world-famous Saint Basil's Cathedral, is located in the center of Moscow. Moscow Tourism Center is located right in the heart of the city. For this reason, tourists can visit the significant Moscow's tourist attractions on their tour to Moscow programs in a short period compared to other tourist destinations in the country. Red Square, one of Russia's main tourist attractions, is located right in the heart of the city. The Red Square itself hosts several other tourist attractions, such as the Kazan Cathedral or Moscow's most famous shopping centers, the Gum Mall. The Kremlin is one of the other main attractions on the Moscow tour, along the Red Square. Many of Moscow's other tourist attractions are located around the city center, each of which is a significant part of the Moscow tour. The fact that most of Moscow's main tourist attractions are concentrated in the city center has both its advantages for tourists and disadvantages to the Moscow tour program. Since tourists can see most of Moscow's tourist attractions in the city center, they may pay less attention to interests outside of Moscow or even a little further from the city center. Although some of these tourist attractions are of particular importance and you can make a trip to Moscow way more attractive, not many tourists visit them during their travel to Moscow. For example, one of the attractions that can be of interest to many tourists is the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology west of Moscow.

Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology - Moscow

When Vadim Zadorozhny visited the Autoexotica annual car Show in Tushino in 1999, he met a classic car enthusiast group who wanted to restore a 1930s classic car. Zadorogeny, himself a fan of classic and antique vehicles, volunteered to help the group, and in less than ten months, the car was completely restored. The result was so satisfying for Zadorogeny that by the end of 2000, he had purchased and restored five more classic vehicles with this group's help. Zadorogeny's collection gradually grew to eventually lead to the formation of the Cabrio and Roadsters Club, which can be said to be the predecessor of today's modern museum. As the complex grew more extensive, the need to create a specific place to collect cars became apparent, so Zadorogeny bought a small abandoned plot of land in the Arkhangelskoye district west of Moscow for this purpose. In 2006, the first cornerstone of a four-story building was laid to house the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology, and in 2008 the museum opened its first exhibition. Perhaps at that time, no one thought this museum would become one of Moscow's tourist attractions. However, at the time of the first exhibition, the museum collection was not limited to old pre-war cars. Visitors could also see samples of motorcycles, airplanes, and various weapons in the museum collection. The museum owner and staff had decided to create the first world-class Russian technical museum as their plan to develop the museum into something larger and more exciting. Today, this massive complex is not only an exhibition of old machines and tools, but also a suitable environment for studying about these items, a well-equipped restaurant and cafe, and workshops for the reconstruction of these items, which tourists can visit during their travel to Moscow. The Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology is the largest private museum of the history of technology in Europe. Tourists visiting the complex during a trip to Moscow can see military equipment, various weapons, unique examples from the aviation industry, motorcycles, hundreds of rebuilt antique cars, railroad vehicles, and household items. Museum specialists have restored most of these items, and most of them are even in working condition. This museum can be an excellent place for those interested in the history of European technology and those interested in learning about the development of technology in the last hundred years. That is why we at Star Travel Group also recommend visiting this museum in our Russia tour programs.
